The white table is finished with Benjamin Moore Regal Select flat interior in Chantilly Lace. The natural table is finished with two coats of Minwax Tung Oil Finish.
I ran out of heartwood for the table top, so I just decided to finish with the sapwood that I had. While I don’t care for the contrasting color in the top, the saving grace is that it has a very wavy grain pattern that looks nice in the light.
I opted to paint the first table white because of considerable tear out that occurred on the legs while routing the dovetails. The dovetails on the second second table were hand cut, and turned out cleaner.
